Bad Weather Forces Cancellation Of Food & Drink Festival

Bad weather has forced to the cancellation of this weekend’s Christmas Food and Drink Festival in Market Harborough.

Harborough District Council has taken the decision due to the rain and strong winds forecast for tomorrow.

The event, which would have seen a number of traders on The Square, had been due to open today.

A council spokesperson said: “The safety of our residents and traders is our priority.

“Thank you for your understanding.”

Tomorrow’s Christmas Lights Switch-On event is still taking place.
