Harborough Man Jailed After Punching Five People

A Market Harborough man who punched five people in an unprovoked attack has been jailed for 15 months.
Larry Rooney assaulted three men and two women in the town centre of Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire, in the early hours of April 20th.
The 19-year-old got into a taxi, but was later arrested when police officers stopped the car in nearby St Ives.

None of the victims suffered serious injuries.
Rooney, of Leicester Road, was sentenced at Cambridge Crown Court on Tuesday after pleaded guilty to affray.
Speaking after the sentence was passed, PC Luke Currie said: “We want to rid our town and city centres of this type of violence and the sentence reflects how seriously it is taken.
“Not only that but one punch to the head in the wrong place can have fatal consequences and devastate lives.”
