Harborough MP Appointed Shadow Education Minister

Harborough MP Neil O’Brien has been appointed Shadow Education Minister by the new Conservative leader.

He has been named in Kemi Badenoch’s top team after she was declared winner of the Tory leadership contest on Saturday.

Mr O’Brien, who spent time as a Health Minister when the Conservatives were in power, will take up his new role immediately and attend at the first meeting of the new shadow cabinet tomorrow.

He told HFM he is delighted with the appointment and wants to challenge the government on issues of concern within the education sector:
