Streetlight Upgrade Means Overnight Closures On A14

Drivers are being warned stretches of the A14 will be shut overnight for the next few weeks while streetlights are upgraded.
Most of the closures will be on the eastbound carriageway between junction 3 near Rothwell and junction 7 at Kettering, on weekdays between 8pm and 5am.

National Highways is replacing the existing streetlamps with more energy efficient LED lighting and the work will take place under lane or carriageway closures.
The first phase of the work starts this evening between junction 3 and 4 and will take two nights, with the eastbound slip road at junction 3 to also be shut.
From Wednesday evening, the eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight from Junction 4 at Rothwell to junction five for two nights, with the slip-road also shut .
