A kitten rescued by firefighters after getting trapped in the axle of a car in Market Harborough has been adopted.

The animal escaped unharmed following the ordeal and her new owner has named her Sofia and says she is settling in really well in her new home.
Firefighters rescued the kitten after being called to Sainsbury’s car park earlier this month and it was then taken to a vets for a check-up.
