Man Injured With Knife During ‘Altercation’ In Desborough

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was injured with a knife during an ‘altercation’ in Desborough.
He sustained a cut to the back of his head following the incident in Gold Street yesterday morning.
A spokeswoman for Northamptonshire Police told HFM: “We were called to Gold Street, Desborough, yesterday (May 29) at about 10am following reports of an altercation between two men.
“One man sustained a cut to the back of his head and was taken to hospital but thankfully, his injuries were not life threatening.”
A man aged 33 was arrested in connection with the incident on suspicion of Section 18 – grievous bodily harm with intent, while a 39-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary.
Both have been released on bail pending further police enquiries.
The spokeswoman added: “Witnesses or anyone with information about the incident should call Northamptonshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 24000313949.”
