Masked Men Assault Man At Flat In Market Harborough

Three masked men forced their way into a flat in Market Harborough and assaulted a man inside.
It happened late last night at Edwin Court on Kettering Road.
Armed police officers were among those sent to the scene following reports a gunshot had been heard and surrounded the block, telling residents to stay inside their flats and to keep windows and doors closed.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police told HFM: “Police received a call at around 11.30pm last night (Tuesday 19 March) to a report of an aggravated burglary at an address in Market Harborough.
“It was reported that three masked men forced entry to a flat in Edwin Court, Kettering Road.
“The caller also reported what they believed to hear was a gunshot.
“In the interest of public and officer safety, armed officers were deployed to respond.
“On attendance, the suspects had left the scene.
“There is no evidence that a firearm had been discharged and enquiries are continuing into the incident.”
