Last Chance To Comment On Plan To Save Market Harborough Tip

Today is the last chance to comment on plans to save Market Harborough’s tip from closure.
Leicestershire County Council is proposing to keep the facility open three days a week, after back-tracking on a controversial cost-saving proposal to shut it completely.

The move would also see opening hours at Kibworth tip reduced to four days a week, with a public consultation closing at midnight.
The Recycling and Household Waste Site on Riverside would be open three days a week – Thursday, Friday and Saturday – if new proposals by Leicestershire County Council are approved.
The Kibworth site would be open Sunday – Wednesday.
The changes are set to take affect from October if the plan is given the go-ahead.
