Driver Seriously Injured In Crash On A4304

A driver was seriously injured in a crash on the A4304 between Market Harborough and Lutterworth yesterday afternoon.
It happened just before 4.30pm and involved two cars, one of which left the carriageway and collided with a tree on the stretch of the road near North Kilworth.
Leicestershire Police say the female driver aged in her 40s suffered potential life-changing injuries and was released by firefighters after being trapped in the wreckage.
A man aged in the 50s driving the other car is thought to have suffered minor injuries.
Fire crews from Market Harborough and Lutterworth attended the scene along with East Midlands Ambulance Service.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to contact them on 101, quoting incident 285 of 10th March.
The A4304 was closed for several hours while emergency services worked at the scene and an investigation was carried out.
