Market Hall Shortlisted For Award After Comedy Success

Harborough’s Market Hall has been nominated for an award after hosting comedy events.
The venue run by the district council was transformed into a theatre as part of Leicester Comedy Festival’s Big Weekend last month, with over 650 people attending shows there.

Festival organisers have shortlisted the Market Hall in the Best Large Venue category of their awards, along with the Wycliffe Rooms in Lutterworth.
Kate Frow of Foxton Primary School has also been nominated for an award in recognition of promoting the festival through activities with pupils.
Winners will be announced at a ceremony later this month.
