Bat Rescued From Sticky Flytrap

Leicestershire Wildlife Hospital in Kibworth has been helping to care for an unusual patient – a long-eared bat which got stuck on a sticky flytrap.

Staff painstakingly removed all the glue from the creature’s body and wings, after it flew through an open window of a house and got trapped.

The bat is now recovering well

The male bat has now been transferred into the care of the Leicestershire and Rutland Bat group, who will look after it until it can be released back into the wild.
