Toys On The Table Appeal Launches

Written by on 22nd November 2023

The Hfm-backed Toys On The Table appeal has launched today.

The appeal aims to ensure disadvantaged youngsters across Leicestershire have a present to open on Christmas Day, when they otherwise wouldn’t.

Nearly 4,000 children benefited last year, with over 2,000 new toys and gifts donated in Market Harborough, thanks to the generosity of people in and around the town.

The appeal supports babies through to teenagers aged 16 and organisers are once again asking people to give generously, as they expect more referrals for help this year, because of continued cost-of-living pressures on families.

Harborough District Council is again supporting the appeal this year, with Harborough Market the drop-off point for donations.

Bill Bowley is vice chairman of Toys on The Table and spoke to HFM’s Nick Shaw:

Toys and gifts for babies, up to teenagers aged 16, which must be new and unwrapped, can be donated at the Indoor Market, Tuesday to Sunday – you’ll find the drop-off point by the Northampton Road entrance.

On behalf of Toys on The Table, thanks in advance for your support.
