Bumper Crowd At Harborough’s Switch-On Event

Organisers of Saturday night’s Christmas Lights Switch-On in Market Harborough are thanking everyone who turned out to support it.

There was a bumper crowd at the HFM-hosted event on The Square, which included street entertainment, performances by Magic Voices Choir and an appearance by Panto Dame Jack Ballard from De Montfort Hall in Leicester.

Santa was also at the event, which coincided with a food and drink festival on The Square.

Cllr Barbara Johnson, chair of Harborough District Council, flicked the switch alongside Jack and Iain Kirkpatrick, Chief Executive of Market Harborough Building Society, which has sponsored the Christmas tree again this year.
