Harborough Town Swarm To Top Of The Table

Harborough Town Football Club have swarmed to the top of the Northern Premier League Midlands Division in style.

The Bees thrashed Gresley Rovers 6-0 away last night, to extend their unbeaten run to nine games and reach the summit of the table for the first time.

It was the perfect debut for new signing Jordon Crawford, who joined the club this week from National League North side Brackley Town, and opened the scoring for Harborough on 14 minutes, with the Bees going into half-time 1-0 up.

The Gresley Rovers goalkeeper was sent off mid-way through the second-half and a flood of goals for Harborough followed, with Joel Carta, Alex Morris and Dan Forbes all scoring, before Amar Sandhu added a further two in added time.

Boss Mitch Austin said he is ‘super proud’ of his team, as Harborough reach the top of the table after 13 games, on 31 points.
