Driver Arrested After Cyclist Struck By Car In Market Harborough

A driver has been arrested after a cyclist was struck by a car in Market Harborough this morning.

The collision happened on Roman Way, near to the Doddridge Road junction, just after 9am.

Leicestershire Police say the cyclist, a woman aged in her 50s, was taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening.

A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drugs after failing a roadside test and remains in custody.

The road was closed while the incident was dealt with, but has since re-opened.
