Harborough Campaigner ‘Dismayed’ At PM’s Climate Change U-Turn

A Market Harborough environmental campaigner has hit out at the Prime Minister’s decision to delay some climate change pledges.
A ban on new petrol and diesel cars and phasing out gas boilers has been put back by five years, while landlords will no no longer have to meet energy efficiency targets by April 2025.
Rishi Sunak says some families cannot afford current time scales and insists he is not watering down his green promises, despite receiving criticism from environmental groups and car manufacturers.
