A driver has admitted failing to stop for Police before crashing a pick-up truck into a tree in Desborough.
Lee Hopkins, 20, fled on foot but was arrested a short time later, after being located by a Police dog.
The crash happened at the junction of Stoke Albany Road and Brampton Wood Lane late on April 10th and left a woman passenger trapped.
She was released from the wreckage by firefighters and taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Northants Police said the driver of the Mitsubishi had earlier failed to stop for officers after reports of an alleged drink driver on the A14.
Hopkins, of no fixed abode, appeared before Northampton Magistrates’ Court yesterday and also pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis.
Magistrates’ adjourned the case for a pre-sentence report to be carried out, but handed him an interim driving ban.
He will be sentenced next month.
