Harborough Mum & Daughter Take Part In MoonWalk Fundraiser

A mother and daughter team have raised £1,800 for a breast cancer charity after taking part in London’s MoonWalk.
Nicki and Carol took part in the MoonWalk
Nicki Burgess from Lubenham, who works at Welland Park Academy, and her Mum Carol Wortley, from Great Bowden, joined over 6,000 people in trekking around the capital on Saturday night.
Wearing decorated bras and t-shirts, they were part of the event which was held for a 25th year, to raise money for charity Walk The Walk.
Nicki and Carol completed the course of just over 15 miles in 5 hours and 17 minutes, having been sponsored by friends and family.
Many other people from around the country joined in the MoonWalk virtually and in total the event raised almost £2m.
