Written by on 10th March 2023

A man has admitted stealing jewellery worth £40,000 from a house in Sutton Bassett just before Christmas last year.

Henry Barry burgled the home on Main Street on December 22nd and stole a large amount of rings, necklaces and bracelets, many containing precious gem stones.

He was arrested after Northamptonshire Police issued a wanted appeal for the 38-year-old.

Barry, formally of Whitworth Avenue, Corby, appeared at Northampton Crown Court and pleaded guilty to burglary, possessing class a drugs and driving offences.

The Judge delayed sentencing, as Barry is subject to another case to be heard at Leicester Crown Court, so will be sentenced for the offences at the conclusion of that matter.

He was remanded back into custody.
