Improvements are to be made to car parking outside Market Harborough Railway Station after it was branded ‘a mess’ by Harborough’s MP.
East Midlands Railway has pledged to improve pick-up and drop-off points, including re-configuring car park spaces.
Whilst significant improvements have been made to the station during the recent years, including more car parking on the southbound side, there have been complaints about outside the main station building.
Neil O’Brien says as the gateway to the town, it is important the area is made as welcoming as possible to visitors and the layout of the front car park is currently ‘a mess’.
He held an on-site meeting with officials from the company, where he also raised other concerns.
Mr O’Brien spoke to HFM afterwards:
