Plan For McDonalds & Costa Coffee Shop Recommended For Go-Ahead

Plans for a new McDonalds restaurant and Costa coffee shop on the edge of Lutterworth could be approved next week.
Councillors are being recommended to grant permission for the development off Coventry Road, near the roundabout with the A4303.
80 jobs would be created if it gets the green light, with both venues operating drive-thru facilities.
A document submitted to Harborough District Council by McDonald’s Restaurants Ltd reads: “The proposals will result in the delivery of economic generating uses through the development of a vacant and underutilised site.
“Both operators have wide representation at similar roadside locations across the UK and are popular with consumers.”
“There is known operator demand for roadside uses at this location and being located on the strategic highway network, the site is a logical
development site for such uses.”
Councillors will consider the plan at a meeting on Tuesday.
