An inquest has opened into the death of a talented Thai footballer who was a student at Brooke House College Football Academy in Market Harborough.
17-year-old Dom Promthep died in hospital two days after being found unconscious at the college’s accommodation on Northampton Road, on February 12th.
The hearing today in Leicester heard a provisional cause of death has been identified, but it was not disclosed, and the inquest was adjourned to a future date.
Dom, who was one of 12 boys rescued from a Thai cave in 2018, won a scholarship to join the academy last year.
Leicestershire Police said last week the death was not being treated as suspicious.
