More Rail Bridges To Be Raised For Electrification Of Track

Network Rail is to carry out work to more road and pedestrian bridges to enable the electrification of the track between Market Harborough and Wigston.
The structures on Langton Road and off Station Road in Great Bowden and Glen Road in Newton Harcourt need to be made higher to accommodate wires.
Applications for the work have been submitted to Harborough District Council.
Earlier this week work began to replace the bridge on Station Road near Great Glen.
