Traffic Disruption In Market Harborough Should End By Weekend

It is hoped Springfield Street in Market Harborough will be fully re-opened to traffic by Friday afternoon.
Cadent Gas have issued an update to HFM, after being forced to shut a section of the road yesterday following a gas leak.
The closure has resulted in severe disruption for drivers, as Springfield Street is a key through-route, with long delays on diversion routes.
It is shut in both directions between Northampton Road and the entrance to Sainsbury’s.
Work is continuing to repair a large gas main and a spokesperson for Cadent Gas told HFM: “Works remain on-going and we are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
“We recognise the disruption that this causes but we thank everybody for their patience as we fix the leak as quickly and safely as possible.
“We are aiming to have the road re-opened by Friday afternoon.”
