Final Chance To Help Shape Design Of New Skatepark In Kibworth

People who will use a new skatepark in Kibworth are being invited to have their final say on the design at an event this evening.
Funding of £260,000 to pay for the facility was secured last month and it is set to be constructed in Warwick Park by the summer.

Young people and others have already helped formulate the initial design and Kibworth Beauchamp Parish Council is holding a final consultation on it, in case any tweaks are needed.
The drop-in event is taking place at Kibworth Grammar School Hall from 6pm.
A spokesperson said: “Anyone who can make it would be really welcome, adults and children alike.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to influence the design of an amazing community resource before we start building.
“Please do come along to the meeting if you’re able to.”
The skatepark is being funded through ‘Section 106’ money, which has been provided by developers for community facilities and will replace a previous facility in the park, which was closed and removed five years ago.
