Visitors to St Luke’s Hospital in Market Harborough are once again being asked to wear facemasks due to high levels of flu and coronavirus in the community.
The Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust has introduced the move at all its community hospitals, with it applying to outpatient departments and inpatient wards, unless someone is exempt.
It is also urging people not to visit if they have any potential flu and Covid-19 symptoms.

A spokesperson for the Trust said: “Where a face-to-face visit is not practical or possible, virtual visits can be supported and facilitated. To do this please ring the ward to make arrangements.
“We hope this precaution will be a temporary measure, however our priority remains on ensuring the safety of our patients, visitors and staff.
