Fire crews have been praised for rescuing a horse which collapsed in Desborough.
They used specialist lifting equipment to get 27-year-old ‘Bud’ back onto his feet, after being called to stables on Harborough Road.
Firefighters from Desborough worked with a vet and Northamptonshire Fire & Rescue Service’s animal rescue crew at the scene.

Bud’s owner has taken to social media to thank all those involved in Friday’s rescue, saying: “Thank you so much, you guys were amazing today, we’d have been looking at a different outcome without you.
“One very relieved horse owner and one much happier horse, albeit still woozy but definitely on the up.”
