Volunteers Knit Hundreds Of Poppies For Display In Desborough

Volunteers in Desborough have knitted and crocheted hundreds of woollen poppies to make a stunning display.

They have all been put together and draped on the side of the library for the Remembrance period.

The project is part of a larger one planned for next year, so people are continuing to contribute to it.

The display includes red poppies and also purple ones, to represent animals killed during war and people can make a donation to the Poppy Appeal inside the library.
