Strike By Depot Staff To Disrupt Train Services From Market Harborough
Written by HFM News on 13th October 2022
More strike action will disrupt train services from Market Harborough on Monday and Tuesday next week.
Workers at East Midlands Railway depots, who are members of the Unite union, will walk-out in an on-going row over pay.
It will mean a significantly reduced service, with trains only running between 7.30am and 6.30pm.
The workers, based at depots in Derby, Leicester and Nottingham, are employed as cleaners, technicians, shunters, engineers, inspectors, lathe operators, team leaders and supervisors.
EMR says people should only travel by rail if absolutely necessary on the strike days.
