Man Dies After Crash On A6 Near Kibworth

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man died in hospital following a crash on the A6 near Kibworth yesterday.
The 34-year-old was driving a grey Peugeot 308 that was involved in collision with a silver Vauxhall Corsa and silver Peugeot 107 near Kibworth Shooting Ground, just before 4pm.
The occupants of the two other cars suffered minor injuries.
The Peugeot 107 was travelling towards Market Harborough and the other cars towards Kibworth when the collision happened,

Leicestershire Police have made a mandatory referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct, as an on-duty officer was driving the Corsa.
Detective Sergeant Jon Putnam, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “Our investigation into this collision is in its early stages – and I would like to speak to anyone who saw what happened but has not yet come forward.
“The collision happened on a busy road at a busy time of day, so I would ask any witnesses to make contact.
“I’m particularly keen to speak to any motorists with a dashcam in their vehicle or who saw any of the vehicles involved prior to the collision occurring.”
