Green Bin Collections Suspended Tomorrow Due To Extreme Heat

There will be no garden waste collections in Market Harborough and Great Bowden tomorrow because of the extreme heat.

Harborough District Council say bin crews will instead prioritise black and blue bin collections, so they can finish rounds earlier and avoid working during the hottest part of the day.

Green bins due to be emptied tomorrow will be collected on Saturday instead.

Green bin collections tomorrow won’t take place

A Council spokesperson said: ” This affects residents living in the Market Harborough and Great Bowden area following the yellow waste collection calendar only.

“You can find out which waste collection calendar you follow using our postcode search tool.

“If your general waste and blue-lidded recycling bin are due for collection on Tuesday 19 July, these will be collected as normal. Please ensure your bin is presented by 7am on the morning of collection.”

Bin collections from Wednesday will operate as normal.
