Drivers To Face Disruption During Electricity Works In Town Centre

Written by on 6th July 2022

Drivers are being warned of disruption in Market Harborough town centre while new electricity cables are installed.

Western Power Distribution will begin work on the High Street on July 18th.

Two-way temporary traffic lights will be in operation near the Bowden Lane junction for the duration of the upgrade, which is set to take 10 days.

18 parking bays on High Street will also be closed off.

The power firm says the work to lay 112 metres of new cable is needed to increase electrical capacity in the area.

A spokesperson told HFM: “Western Power Distribution apologises for any inconvenience caused by the work which will be completed as quickly as possible to minimise disruption.”
