Aldi is hoping to create space for small businesses as part of its plan for a new supermarket in Market Harborough.
The discount retailer wants to build seven business ‘starter’ units alongside the new store, earmarked for the Glenmere Timber site off Rockingham Road.
It says the units would have their own parking and service areas and be accessed off Gores Lane.
The plan will be considered alongside the proposal for the new supermarket, which if approved by Harborough District Council, would replace its existing store on Springfield Street.
