Water Leak Closes Road In Market Harborough Town Centre

A water leak has closed Coventry Road in Market Harborough town centre.
The stretch between The Square and Commons Car Park is shut to traffic, while Severn Trent Water works to resolve the issue outside the Baptist Church.
A Severn Trent spokesperson said: “Our teams are on site making repairs to a water pipe on Coventry Road. While we always try to avoid road closures wherever possible, due to this being a narrow one-way street, a closure was necessary on this occasion to ensure the safety of our teams and other road users.
“We understand that road closures can cause frustration and we’re aiming to complete the works and get everything back to normal as quickly as possible.
“We anticipate that works will be complete and the road reopened by Thursday and would like to offer our sincere apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.”
