Market Harborough Stationery Shop To Close

Written by on 16th May 2022

A Market Harborough stationery shop is to shut after its owner announced the closure of its stores across the region.

Colemans say the combination of online competition, the pandemic and reduced footfall on High Streets means the business is no longer viable.

The shop on Church Square, which opened in 2017, is set to shut by August.

A spokesperson for Niorthamptonshire-based Colemans said: “It is with the greatest sadness that we announce the closure of the Coleman Group.

“We have traded successfully for over 53 years but unfortunately the combination of online competition, the Coronavirus pandemic and reduced footfall on our High Streets, means that our business is no longer viable.

“We can’t thank our customers enough for their loyalty over the years, we will miss you very much.

“Colemans of Oundle and the Oundle Bookshop will remain open and the rest of our stores will have a closing down period over the next 3 months.”
