Aldi is set to submit a planning application for a new store in Market Harborough later this month.
The discount retailer wants to spend £5m on the development at the corner of Rockingham Road and Gores Lane.

If approved, the store would replace the firm’s existing supermarket on Springfield Street, which it says is too small and no longer meets customer expectations.
An additional 15 jobs would be created if the new store is approved by Harborough District Council, who will consider the plan once it is submitted.
Aldi held a public consultation earlier this year to get feedback from locals about the plan.
