Rapid Rise In Demand For Market Harborough’s Foodbank

More and more people are turning to Market Harborough’s Jubilee Foodbank because they are struggling to afford to eat.
The voluntary service experienced the third busiest month in its ten year history in April – helping 274 people – over half of which were families with children.
The rising cost of living is being blamed, with many of those receiving food parcels having never needed to use the service before.
There has also been a drop in donations to the food bank in recent weeks, also believed to be linked with people having less money to buy items to support the service.
