More refugees who have fled the war in Ukraine have been granted visas to come to the Harborough District.
129 people have now been cleared to stay with families who signed up to the government’s Homes for Ukraine Scheme.
A further 38 visas have been approved in the past fortnight, according to latest Home Office figures.
The district continues to lead the way in welcoming refugees, with more households accommodating individuals or families than in any other part of Leicestershire.
Over 400 visas have been granted to refugees coming to Leicestershire, 252 to North Northamptonshire and 376 to West Northamptonshire.
