Call Made For Assurances Over Cash To Upgrade Hospital

Written by on 21st April 2022

Calls for assurances over money to pay for major improvements at Kettering General Hospital have been sought in the House of Commons.

£46m was pledged by the government for a new Urgent Care Hub in 2019, along with a further £350m for other major improvements

The money has yet to be awarded and Kettering MP Philip Hollobone pressed Boris Johnson on the issue during Prime Minister’s Questions yesterday.

In February, Health Minister Edward Argar said the government was waiting for the hospital trust to submit a fresh business plan and it is unknown whether that has since been sent to the Department of Health and Social Care.
