Dog Attacks Pregnant Sheep In Kibworth

Nine pregnant sheep were injured after being attacked by a dog in Kibworth.
Some suffered deep lacerations after they were set-upon in a lambing barn, off Kibworth Road.

Owners of the livestock say it was lucky none of the animals were killed, although fear the stress caused to the ewes could force them to abort their lambs.
The attack happened sometime between 3pm and 5.30pm on Friday and has prompted calls for dog owners to keep their pets on leads when near livestock.
