Men Plead Not Guilty To Kidnap & Sexual Assault Charges

Three men have pleaded not guilty to kidnapping and sexually assaulting a woman in the village of Misterton near Lutterworth.

They appeared at Leicester Crown Court today, charged with a number of offences relating to an alleged incident in the early hours of January 16th.

Vahar Manchala, 22, Ajay Doppalapudi, 25, Rana Yellambai, 28, all of Gaul Street, Leicester, have been remanded in custody ahead of a trial in June.

Leicestershire Police launched an investigation after reports a woman aged in her 30s was subjected to a ‘serious sexual assault’ and carried out searches in the area around St Leonard’s Church in Misterton.
