Unemployment Across Harborough Falls To Second Lowest In Leicestershire

Unemployment across Harborough has fallen for a tenth month running and is now the second lowest in Leicestershire.

1,120 people were out of work and claiming benefits last month, 15 fewer than in December.

600 men and 525 women living in the District are looking for work, the largest proportion aged 25 to 49.

Figures released today also show compared with this time last year, 740 more people are now in-work, as the economic recovery from the pandemic continues.

Only the Melton district now has a lower level of unemployment to Harborough’s.
