Poor Parking On Harborough Streets Blocks Fire Engine

Market Harborough’s firefighters say poor parking is putting lives at risk.
Their appliance was unable to get along East Street, Highfield Street and Logan Street, because of the way some cars had been left, instead having to reverse the fire engine out of the area.
Luckily they were not on a 999 call at the time, but say if they had been, they would have faced a long delay in reaching the scene of the emergency.
The crew were blocked from accessing the streets on Friday, while in the area carrying out home safety checks.
