Eleven people were arrested across Harborough for drink or drug driving last month.
They were among 149 drivers caught on Leicestershire’s roads during the Police’s annual Christmas campaign – an increase of 17 on December 2020.
Of the arrests on roads in the Harborough District, seven were for drink driving and four for driving under the influence of drugs.

Police conduct a roadside breath test
One woman failed a roadside breath test after being spotted by Police driving a car with a front tyre missing on the B6047 near Market Harborough.
33 drivers were arrested at the scene of collisions and one driver in the county “blew” 130 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath during a roadside breath test, almost four times the legal limit of 35.
Most of the drivers stopped were male, but 18 female drivers were also arrested.
Just under a quarter of people found to be unfit at the wheel were aged 24 or under.
