Olympic Gold Medallists Awarded Freedom Of Harborough District

Two Olympic heroes have been awarded the Freedom Of The Harborough District.

The title, which is the highest accolade the District Council can give anyone, recognises the fantastic achievements of sailor Dylan Fletcher from Market Harborough and Paralympian canoeist Laura Sugar from Billesdon, who both won gold medals at the Tokyo games earlier this year.

Councillors voted unanimously to hand them the honour at a meeting last night.
