Harborough’s Poppy Appeal Raises Over £24,000

This year’s Poppy Appeal in and around Market Harborough has raised over £24,000 – nearly three times the amount last year.
The town’s branch of the Royal British Legion is thanking all who donated last month, saying the support was amazing.
Members manned a stall at Harborough Market with the help of volunteers from Harborough 2012 Lions Club and held street collections.
Donations were also made in collection tins placed around the area.
Stewart Harrison, chairman of the town’s branch of the Royal British Legion, spoke to Hfm:
