Nearly 37,000 Booster Jabs Given Across Harborough

Nearly 37,000 Covid-19 booster jabs have been given across Harborough in the past few weeks including over 11,000 at Market Harborough Medical Centre.

Figures for the third dose have been released for the first time and show 43% of the District’s population aged over 12 have now had one, with 36,992 administered.

In total, over 185,000 vaccines have been given here in the past year.

The NHS is continuing to update its website to enable people to book a booster following the government’s announcement people can have one earlier than previously recommended.

Mike Sands, Director of Public Health for Leicestershire, told Hfm work is taking place to ensure its as easy of possible for people to get their booster:
