Fresh Safety Concerns About Derelict Factory In Desborough

New concerns have been raised about the safety risk a derelict factory in Desborough poses to anyone who enters it.

Police and the fire service shared their fears with council officials at a site meeting, held at the former Lawrence’s factory off Harborough Road.

Youngsters have been getting into the dangerous building and earlier this year fires were started deliberately on the site.

North Northamptonshire Council, who own the site, have upgraded security measures as they continue to explore building affordable homes there.

But Desborough Town Council say the best option is for a mixed development, including retail, commercial and community buildings.
