Written by HFM News on 12th November 2021
Events to mark the Remembrance period continue in Market Harborough tomorrow.
A short ceremony will be held at the WW1 Memorial Portico in the grounds of Rosewood Manor care home on Coventry Road at 3pm and the Royal British Legion will also lay wreaths in Welland Park.
Stewart Harrison, Chairman of the Market Harborough branch of the Legion, spoke to Hfm:
On Remembrance Sunday a ceremony will take place on The Square leading up to a two-minute silence at 11am, although there will be no parade this year.
Meanwhile, more buildings in Market Harborough have been bathed in red after dark in support of the Poppy Appeal.
Lights have been placed along shop fronts on The Square and the Symington Building, which will also be used to mark other events after the Council installed them.
