Man Threatened With Weapon After Confronting Van Thieves

A man was threatened with a metal object and nearly run over after confronting three men who broke into his van in Market Harborough last night.

It happened on Orchard Street, off The Broadway, at around 9.30pm, after the thieves had got into his Peugeot Partner van by breaking the locks.

When challenged the men became aggressive, before speeding off in a dark coloured estate car, narrowly missing the man.

The car had initially been parked up at the corner of the street, with the bonnet up.

Nothing was stolen from the van and Police are appealing for witnesses.
